Understanding CBD Oil

Understanding CBD Oils. What are the options?

We field a lot of questions regarding the variety of CBD oils available. Understanding CBD oils can be overwhelming given the many different kinds, flavors, milligrams, and production methods used to produce them.

Today Happy Hemp Farmacy would like to discuss the difference between Full Spectrum CBD Oil, Broad Spectrum CBD Oil and CBD Isolate.

Understanding the Entourage Effect First

In order to best understand the key differences in CBD offerings, you first must know about the entourage effect.

There are hundreds of compounds called cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. Each one of these cannabinoids, including CBD, provide your body with a specific purpose. When you ingest them all together you receive the full benefits of hemp, called the entourage effect.

This article by cbdoilreview.org draws a metaphor to better understand the entourage effect as it relates to human interaction. The author quotes,

“To understand the concept, think of it in terms of human interactions. We all have gifts and abilities that can carry us to a certain point in life. Sometimes, we’ll meet another person who has different gifts and abilities. When partnerships are formed between two people, and abilities are combined, achievements can be made that were otherwise unimaginable.”

In short, experts agree the best way to receive the best results from CBD is when all of the cannabinoids are present instead of isolated.

The main difference between understanding CBD oils are the benefits of Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and CBD Isolate. When CBD is working with other parts of the hemp plant, it’s able to achieve more impactful effects that it cannot do on its own.

Understanding CBD Oils and the different types available.

Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, including trace amounts (.3% or less) of THC, but it’s not enough to make you feel intoxicated or high.

Full Spectrum CBD oil undergoes fewer processes during formulation. This retains all the cannabinoids and keeps them intact, thus providing the entourage effect. This provides the greatest chance for experiencing the true benefits that CBD offers for overall wellness.

While you won’t get high, Full Spectrum CBD does have the potential to cause a positive drug test due to those trace amounts of THC. This is the biggest reason people look to Broad Spectrum or CBD Isolate. We recommend you weigh the pros and cons of full spectrum if you must take any drug tests.

Broad Spectrum CBD

Broad Spectrum CBD comes in handy for people concerned about the possibility of being drug tested, but still want all the other cannabinoids.

Broad Spectrum oil goes through a processes to eliminate THC in its final form, but it still retains the other important compounds found in the hemp plant. The individual can still experience the benefits of the entourage effect without having to worry about THC in their body.

Broad Spectrum CBD is the middle of the road option for people seeking wellness solutions. And again, there are no psychoactive effects with this option.

CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD. It undergoes a scientific processes to strip out all other components of the hemp plant. While there can be benefits to larger doses of CBD Isolate for some people, you will sacrifice the entourage effect. Losing these added cannabinoids isn’t optimal for wellness needs but still produces good results.

As with Broad Spectrum CBD, there is no chance of psychoactive effects, nor is there a risk of testing positive for a drug test.

Which form of CBD is right for you?

Ultimately it’s a matter of personal preference when deciding which form of CBD to use. If you don’t have to worry about drug testing, then we recommend Full Spectrum CBD as that’s the best option. Broad Spectrum CBD is second best and CBD Isolate is third.

Keep in mind that CBD or cannabis affects each person differently. We’ve known people who only receive relief from higher doses of Full Spectrum while other people discover benefits from lower dose CBD Isolate. You will have to experiment with dosage as well as products.

Understanding CBD Oils takes a little education and research, but it’s not difficult to learn the basics. This is one reason why Happy Hemp Farmacy continues to share our knowledge and experience; we want to help you make the right choices when it comes to your health and happiness!
